   Young Family - Ministry Opportunities
To work with children is considered such a great opportunity to speak into the lives of children the truths about Jesus Christ on a more personally level.

Following is a listing of the areas within the Young Families Ministries that are available and will help you find your giftedness and comfort level. Please read over each description carefully and begin to pray. Pray that God will show you what His plan and purpose is from you.

All children's workers are required to complete our "Ministry to Minors Application " prior to ministry involvement. To obtain your application prior to ministry, please call Pastor Dave Rodriguez in the church office at 301.739.1167 ext. 211.

Following are the different areas of ministry currently offered for infant through 5th grade:

SUNDAY AM MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

KidsLIFE LIFE Classes

These classes are offered before the morning service and begin to lay the foundations of spiritual development. They also instruct children in biblical principles based on absolute point of reference, the Word of God, and how to apply them on a personal level. LIFE Class time is 8:30 - 9:45 AM and each class is divided as follows:

  • Beginners(4 years - 1st Grade)
Curriculum is provided for each class and is chosen according to the needs of each group by the children's pastor in concordance with the teachers.

KidsLIFE
This class is for children 2nd - 5th Grade. This class meets at 8:30 AM in the lower level and at 10:00 AM in the Living Room.

KidsLIFE 2
This class is for children beginning at the age of 4 years through Kindergarten. This class meets at 10:00 AM. The children meet for Praise & Worship and then go to the gym for 15 minutes of playtime. They will then continue to their class for the remainder of the service for ministry time.

Various positions are available as follows on a rotating schedule:
  • Adult Sound Technician - will be trained in areas that include soundboard and computer
  • Assistant Sound Technician - will also be trained to perform equal roles
  • Ministry Leaders - will be part of the performance cast to include set designing, puppets, etc.
  • Assistant Children's Praise Team Director - this person will work with the Director in the development of a praise teams and soloist for children's church.
  • Adult Leader and Assistant - these individuals will work bi-weekly on rotation in KidsLIFE.

WEDNESDAY PM MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

Mpact and ROYAL RANGERS LIFE Groups (ages 3 through 12th Grade)

Mpact & Royal Rangers LIFE Groups purpose is to win girls and boys to Christ. To teach them Bible-based guidelines for Christian living, by example and practice; helping them to grow and develop spiritually, socially, and physically. To acquaint them with both home and foreign missions, challenging them to reach out and meet the needs of others in their own communities, in home missions, and on foreign fields. To challenge them to develop their talents and potentials for happy, useful life and encourage their participation in wholesome activities, and to help them develop Christian relationships and consideration for others. These groups meet weekly.

Available Positions: Adult Leaders and Assistants
