The Benevolence Ministries Mission: To harvest our world in a REAL Way by compassionately opening our hearts and hands with the provisions of God. Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and truth. The Benevolence Ministry is a part of the pillar of Providing for the Needs of Others. The Benevolence Ministries reach out and touch the hearts of people by helping with their immediate physical needs as a way to draw them into a closer personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hearing our brothers and sisters cry for help. Encouraging our brothers and sisters when they are down. Accepting our brother and sisters for who they are. Reaching out to meet our brothers and sisters needs. Touching our brothers and sisters with the love of Jesus. Ministries: Clothes Closet: The closet is kept stocked through donations. Clothing is available for individuals and families in need, at no charge. Selections vary based on donations; however, there is always a variety of styles and sizes for men, women, boys and girls. Food Pantry: The pantry is kept stocked through donations of food items and financial gifts. Dry Foods are available for those who are in need of emergency food items. The food and clothing pantry is open on Tuesday's and Thursday's, 10 AM-1 PM. If you are in need of immediate assistance, may call the Church Office at 301.739.1167. All requests for assistance are subject to the Benevolence Teams approval. The committee's decision is based on a set of criteria that is based on the biblical model of being benevolent. The committee's decision is final.
