| Just for Patrick - 2/27/2009 |
My church plant pastor at LifeHouse East says my blogs are way too long! So, just for him, I'm going to prove that I don't have to write "a long blog!"
A LONG BLOG- Sorry Patrick, I obviously can't help it, I just wrote "a long blog!"
Seriously, I do have a quick thought today: Live Strong, Live on Purpose, and Live to the Max! >> Read More |

| DNA - 2/26/2009 |
DNA- “DeoxyriboNucleic Acid” is a nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all living organisms. The main role of DNA molecules is the long-term storage of information. DNA is simply like a set of blueprints or a recipe, or a code, since it contains the instructions needed to construct other components of cells. The DNA segments that carry this genetic information are called genes, while other DNA sequences have structural purposes, or are >> Read More |

| LIFE Development Process - 2/24/2009 |
If I've learned anything in the past several years it is this: "Life is a process!" Most everyone would agree with that, but I'm convinced not everyone understands it. We all know we're in the "process" of growing old, of making a living, of experiencing all the ups and downs of life on this planet, in our own little corner of the world. Trusting God, in this respect, is like the scene from the Indiana Jones movie where he has to cross a bottomless chasm by stepping out into what looks like thin air. Only after he takes the first step does h >> Read More |

| Starbucks - 2/19/2009 |
I confess that I am a Starbucks addict! I can't pass one without having to stop. As a matter of fact I will drive out of my way to get a Starbucks coffee. Now I confess I don't particularly like paying $3 for a cup of coffee, but when you can order one in a "venti" I mean, it just sounds like it's worth it!
And I further confess that I'm sitting in a Starbucks right at this very moment writing this blog! The aroma, the whirl of the expresso machine, the... oh man I need another skin >> Read More |

| Underachieving - 2/17/2009 |
We all are guilty of underachieving at something at some time or another in our lives. I was again confronted with this idea of underachieving this past weekend as I watched my daughter's club volleyball team basically get beat by other teams that they were clearly better than. And when I say that, I base it on the real potential that her team has.
I don't think that there is anything more disappointing than underachieving. To me, in my humble opinion, underachieving is essentially >> Read More |
