Our Team

Curt & Sara Snyder

After 16 years in the business world, Curt joined the LifeHouse Bethel team in 1998 as the Church Business Administrator. He also served as the Discipleship and then Senior Associate Pastor before becoming Lead Pastor in November of 2009. Curt and Sara are both from Clear Spring, Maryland and even though for many years they lived only a few miles apart, they really did not meet until they were adults. They were married at Bethel in 1984 and both served in the Youth and Music ministries for many years.

Curt enjoys sports of all kinds but is particularly partial to baseball, (Go Cardinals) having played in college. He also likes to hunt, fish and pretty much anything that is done outdoors. Sara enjoys scrapbooking pictures of Alexa and spending time with family and friends. She is currently the County Clerk for the District Court of Washington County. They have three sons: Michael, married to Amy and father to Alexa and Avery the greatest granddaughters ever; Robby, and Steven.

Curt says, “It is so cool to be able to pastor in our home church. We never foresaw anything like this when we started out but what a blessing it has been to our lives. God has given us a great team and we look forward to what He has in store.”

Pete & Hannah Duncanson

Pete & Hannah began serving as volunteers in Student Ministries in 2009. They came on staff as our Students Pastors in 2010. They have been married for 6 years, and have one child, Trey. Pete & Hannah are passionate about seeing the students of Hagerstown do great things for God, by training and raising up the next generation. Pete says, “I really love pizza and God.”

 

 

Jay & Margaret Recto

Jay & Margaret, both Capitol Region Master’s Commission graduates, joined the Bethel Team as Outreach Pastors in the summer of 2010. They moved to Hagerstown from Woodbridge, Virginia where they served on staff at Christ Chapel. Jay was the Assistant Youth Pastor and Margaret was the Administrative Assistant to the Master’s Commission Director. They have one son Sean, age two years.

 

 

Doug & Whitney Dangerfield

Doug & Whitney serve as the Young Families Pastor and Sports Ministries Director. Doug is also an Elder. They married in May 2006. They have two sons, Jared and Kyle. Doug has been a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God since 2000. Doug and Whitney have a passion, desire, and call of God on their lives to help people develop into men and women of God. Their heart is to see people win, and that only comes through a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. They purposefully build strong, personal relationships, putting our lives on display while earning the right to speak hope and life into theirs. Doug says, “My prayer many years ago was that God would allow me to make a difference in just one life. He has blessed far beyond that, and we look forward with great anticipation to the many more lives that God will bring across our path to help along in the process of discovering who they are in Christ and living in that every day.”

Willie & Flo Norman

Willie & Flo serve as the Worship Directors. They have been serving in the area of worship for 9 years. They have been actively involved in music leadership since their graduation from Lee University in 1982. Since coming to Bethel, they have dedicated themselves to working with the Worship Ministry including both choir and the orchestra. They have two children, Chris and Sharayah and one grandson.  They make their home in Frederick, Maryland.

Michelle Henson

Michelle has served on the Bethel Team since 1998. She is the Executive Secretary to Pastor Curt. She is a graduate of Hagerstown Business College. Michelle and her husband Ted have been married for 31 years. They have 2 grown children Derek who lives in Fort Worth, Texas and Bethany, who  lives in Harrisburg, PA both are graduates of Valley Forge Christian College and one daughter with the Lord. Michelle enjoys spending time with family, antiquing, the outdoors, trips to Lancaster, PA and NASCAR racing. Her passion is missions and serving others. She is also involved in various volunteer ministries at Bethel.

Cindy Smith

Cindy joined the Bethel Team as a volunteer in 2008 and then came on staff in 2009. She serves as an Administrative Assistant. Cindy and her husband Randy have been married for 15 years and have 3 children. She enjoys traveling and is an animal lover. Her heart’s desire is to be able to go on a mission trip. She also serves in various volunteer ministries at Bethel.

Nick Snyder

Nick joined the Bethel Team in 2009 as the Media Director. He graduated from Clear Spring High School in 2006, and is a 2009 graduate of Master’s Commission Mid-Atlantic. He also enjoys music. Nick serves on the Leadership Team for Student Ministries.
